As we've expressed in the past, Celebrate Me Week would not be able continue year after year without the support of our previous campers' families and their communities.   We are humbled by the response that has been received this year and thank those who spread the good word.
If you are interested in donating to a specific 2012 camper or to any camper, you may visit our registration page http://register.celebrate-me.com, click on the "Make Payment" tab and follow the directions for donations.  We do receive multiple scholarship requests from families and feel blessed by the donations that allow these campers to attend.

What is Celebrate Me Week?...Celebrate Me Week is a camp that is held for boys and girls going into the 7th grade in the Fall of 2012.  It is a week-long in which each camper is given endless opportunities to learn more about themselves through a variety of experiences and activities.  Our History...CMW was started in 1989 by two individuals who wanted to create a camp that would tackle the obstacles that young teens encounter as they enter into adolescence.  Connie Bach and Doug Morrow held the first Celebrate Me Week that summer along with 32 campers and 20 staff.  Ivy Sellers, who was originally a cook and dishwasher the first year, joined Doug and Connie as Co-Directors and CMW has not stopped growing since. 2012 will be our 24th year and we have now grown into holding THREE sessions of more than 100 campers and 60 staff each.  Who we are...We are defined each year by those who participate in our camp.  Our campers and our staff make us who we are and every year is beautifully different.  Our campers are boys and girls who come from different schools, cities, states, and backgrounds.  Our staff is completely volunteer.  They are men and women who give up a week of their jobs to come and make CMW what it is.  They are high school and college students, teachers, postal workers, store managers, mothers, fathers, etc...many returning year after year to staff after once being a CMW camper themselves. Our Goals...
  • To gift campers with tool to deal with the challenges of adolescence, including: low self-esteem, peer pressure, friendships, family, and conformity.
  • Foster positive attitude about ability to think for one's self (leadership).
  • Cultivate a sense of human dignity, belonging to a Christian family.
  • Acquire building blocks of healthy self-esteem.
  • Learn peer pressure reversal techniques.
  • Develop ability to see the Diamond Inside themselves and others
  • Enhance parental involvement, understanding.
  • Provide a positive and safe environment for each person to fully participate in Celebrate Me Week.
